Our Sunday Roast services run from 1pm - 7pm...bring on the giant yorkies!

Our sensational Sunday set menu is just £29.95 for two courses or £38.95 for three courses, so there is absolutely no reason not to treat yourself!

A discretionary 10% service charge will be added to your bill, this is split 100% amongst our team. Please just ask if you wish for this to be removed.

Getting Started

LITTLE SOMETHING TO NIBBLE. Olives and cornichons bound in a honey mustard dressing. V/DF/GF (Vg available)

SEAFOOD DAHL. Yan lentil dahl with house smoked salmon and Morecambe Bay brown shrimp, mint crème fraiche and a mini naan bread for dunking! (DF/GF available).

CHEESEY BEAN TART. Puff pastry tart filled with Yan baked beans, topped with melted gruyère and mature local cheddar, truffle Yan ketchup and pickled shimeji mushrooms. V (DF/Vg available)

AUTUMN SALAD. We’ll give you a clue…it’s not your average salad! Smoked Cumbrian duck breast, apple & celeriac purée, pickled blackberries, roasted butternut squash, creamy gorgonzola, sun dried tomatoes and topped with parsnip crisps. £10.95 Don’t fancy the duck? Go veggie! GF (DF/V/Vg available).

Sharing...for 2

All our sharing platters are served with Yorkshire puddings, rosemary roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, creamy mash potato, Yan stuffing, green beans, courgettes, carrots and red wine gravy. Can’t decide which one? Go half and half! Rest assured that although our platters are designed for two, we can also do solo platters, or odd numbers!

BEEF. Slow cooked, Cumbrian, dry aged beef brisket, topped with horseradish butter. (DF available)

LAMB. Minted, slow cooked, Herdwick Lamb shoulder wrapped in Parma ham. DF available)

PORK. Slow cooked Cumbrian pork belly with crackling. (DF available)

VEGGIE. Roasted butternut squash, sweet potato and chimichurri rarebit, all piled high on Lovingly Artisan sourdough toast and topped with tangy goats cheese, melted to perfection. V

OUR NOW FAMOUS SHEPHERDS PIE. Made with slowly braised Grasmere Herdwick lamb, cheesy mash potato, cured ham and parsley garden peas. GF

YAN FISH PIE. House smoked salmon, haddock and tiger prawns in a creamy white wine and parsley sauce. All topped with a saffron and tarragon mash and cheddar cheese. Served with samphire and parsley peas. GF

HUNGARI-YAN. Chestnut mushroom, roasted cauliflower and butterbean goulash, topped with cumin pumpkin seeds and sriracha crème fraiche. An actual hug in a bowl! GF/V (DF/Vg available)

STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING. Toffee sauce with vanilla Three Hill’s Gelato or custard. V

YAN-OFFEE MOUSSE. Chocolate mousse topped with banana jam, toffee mascarpone, cheesecake crumb and chocolate shards. Decadent and practically perfect in every way. V (GF/DF available).

CLASSIC CRUMBLE. Baked plums & apples with a gingernut & toasted sunflower seed crumble top. Served with a heart-warming cherry custard. V

THREE CHEESE BOARD. Made up of three amazing British cheeses that have been carefully selected and taste tested by us! Served with bread crisps, chutney, and fresh fruit, all made here at The Yan. (GF available).
